Always improving for our customers… with the addition of The Factory
Mid-March marked a new era for Bob Hurley Ford customers as the dealership acquired more space to expand its ability to provide service.
The dealership acquired more than 25,000 square feet of space in two buildings located just about a half-mile west from the dealership. The facility is located at 2002 West Skelly Drive (just west of 33rd W Avenue).
Bob Hurley called facility “The Factory” and said now Bob Hurley Ford will be offering more extensive pre-delivery inspection on new and used vehicles at the facility. The employees who handle prepping all new and used vehicles for display and sale on the dealership lot have moved to The Factory.
“With the space they’ve opened up in the dealership’s existing service department, we can now open more service bays for our mechanics and add faster turnaround times for our QuickLane customers,” he said. He explained that the facility is called “The Factory” because every traded in used vehicle and even new vehicles will go through an extensive inspection. Used vehicles will have the tires, brakes, and other systems inspected to achieve certain safety standards. As vehicles move through the process they will be handled by several employees. In some cases vehicles will be repaired or have parts replaced, then cleaned, photographed for the internet inventory and prepared for placement on the front lines of the dealership. We no able to offer window tinting, spray-in truck bed liners and other accessory installations “in house.”
“I don’t think any other car dealer in the Tulsa area will be doing as much in the pre-delivery phase as our store will,” he said. “We’ll be able to offer used vehicles at used car prices with new car piece of mind.”
The new facility has several acres of paved parking for parking the vehicles while they are going through the process. All of the mechanics are using new state-of-the-art equipment to ensure the best service for our customers. This will mean that the main dealership lot will have more display space for new and pre-owned vehicles. Also, if customers visit the main lot, they may take a test drive by The Factory lot to see more inventory being prepared for sale.
