There’s hope for General Motors small truck enthusiasts. That’s essentially what Pickuptrucks.com reports today, suggesting that we’ll see a next-generation GMC Canyon and Chevrolet Colorado in the U.S.

Not long ago, GM decided that production on the midsize truck would end with the current generation in mid-2012. But recent reports suggest that the company has decided to leverage its new small truck platform being built in Thailand later this year, resulting in a new Canyon and Colorado — if the trucks keep those names — in the 2014 model year.

True truck owners, those who need to buy pickups for towing and hauling, need the practicality of a truck, but like everyone else, would like to use less fuel. Unlike the commuters who haul air in their trucks, true truck users don't have the option of swapping their pickups for economy cars. More Power and Better Fuel Economy -- What's Not to Like? The obvious solution has been for manufacturers to start putting diesel engines into their light-duty pickup trucks but the large price difference between regular unleaded and diesel, often about a dollar per gallon, has caused a rethink of that plan. Ford says it has put off (at least for a couple years) its previously announced plan to offer a diesel in the F-150 in 2010. Instead, the company is developing a V-6 EcoBoost engine for the F-1...
The summer heat may be over but there’s a sizzling new vehicle being highlighted at Bob Hurley Ford. The 2011 Ford Fiesta is out and has been meeting with rave reviews everywhere. Inside and out, the all-new Fiesta is the most dramatic and distinctive small car Ford has ever produced. Combining kinetic design styling with big car technology, it is already appealing to a new generation of small car buyers. Here’s a car that stands out. Starting at the front end with a three-bar grille and distinctive dragon’s-eye headlamps. A razor-slash side panel highlights the car’s cut-and-run stance, while the upswept rear end makes it look like it’s ready to launch. Available ambient lighting and available bright metallic accents create a radiant glow that surrounds the interior, and uniqu...

When it is the all-new, streamlined and fuel-efficient Ford Explorer. Since the early 1990s, the Ford Explorer has been a family favorite and now it is back with a completely redesigned look and a modern interior that will appeal to everyone.

The new Ford Explorer has seating for seven and safety features ranging from inflatable seat belts in the back seat to help protect occupants’ heads and chests in the event of a crash, to a curve control system that will keep the vehicle tracking smoothly if the driver goes into a tight curve too fast.

Just days before thousands of emergency communication professionals gather for the National Emergency Number Association 2010 conference, Ford announced new capability for the SYNC 911 Assist™ application. The system can now communicate a vehicle’s exact location using GPS coordinates provided to emergency responders.
The nonsubscription-based app remains available to customers at no additional cost; providing emergency operators access to GPS coordinates of a vehicle, another important tool that could help first responders reach the scene of an accident faster.
“Ford is committed to continuously enhancing the owner experience, and SYNC is a key part of that strategy,” said Doug VanDagens, Director of Ford Connected Services. “SYNC 911 Assist is free for the life of the vehicle, and now we’re making it perform even better. That adds unexpected value and peace of mind for the customer.”

Mustang

Summer is almost here and there’s no better way to greet it than in the sporty 2011 Mustang.

From the iconic Mustang grille and famed “hockey stick” sidelines, there is a style that is at once familiar yet dynamic and new about the Mustang.

For years the Mustang has been a mainstay in the Ford stables. There are 10 models of this hard charging horse waiting for you.

With the 2011 model year, Ford Mustang gallops forward with an all-new 305-horsepower V6 at (get this) 6,500 rpm. Torque is way up to 280 foot pounds at 4,250 rpm. This powerhouse pretty much moves the V6 Mustang to the front of the track in terms of base engine ponycar performance.

While a lot of auto news has been bad, Bob Hurley Ford has found that Tulsa area car buyers are still looking for great vehicles at great prices. Bob Hurley sales have been climbing since the first of the year, following the same trend that has been going on nationally. During the first quarter of 2010, Ford has shown earnings of $2.1 billion. “People are starting to buy cars again and we are seeing increased traffic in our dealership,” says Bob Hurley. “We are finding that our customers are looking for dependable vehicles and they are starting to see credit becoming more available. Coming up this year will be the introduction of the new generations of two key small cars, the Fiesta and the Focus. Through the first quarter of this year, Ford's F-Series pickup truck was the best-sellin...
