Ford Sales

While a lot of auto news has been bad, Bob Hurley Ford has found that Tulsa area car buyers are still looking for great vehicles at great prices.

Bob Hurley sales have been climbing since the first of the year, following the same trend that has been going on nationally.

During the first quarter of 2010, Ford has shown earnings of $2.1 billion.

“People are starting to buy cars again and we are seeing increased traffic in our dealership,” says Bob Hurley. “We are finding that our customers are looking for dependable vehicles and they are starting to see credit becoming more available.

Coming up this year will be the introduction of the new generations of two key small cars, the Fiesta and the Focus.

Through the first quarter of this year, Ford's F-Series pickup truck was the best-selling vehicle in America and the only vehicle to cross the 100,000 sales barrier (103,359) year to date. Overall, Ford had three of the top 10 sellers, and its Focus compact car was No. 11.

Keep in mind that Ford didn’t get a government loan to keep operating and is now plowing those profits back into the company to ensure that buyers will be able to find their favorite Ford vehicles that are priced to sell.

Those sales numbers the automaker sold 441,708 vehicles in the first quarter of 2010, according to Autodata Corp., up nearly 37% from a year earlier and outpacing the industrywide gain of just under 16% during the same period. Its market share, 17.4%, is almost 3 full percentage points up from a year earlier and trails only that of General Motors Co., according to Autodata.

“Our vehicles are being ordered with more optional equipment and higher trim levels,” he said.

“We want to keep this trend going and invite everyone to come to our dealership to pick out their new Ford,” Hurley said.
